What does it take to succeed in this dive?
Like studying anything, to succeed as an artist, you will need to spend a lot of time... drawing! The best way to get better is through consistent practice! As one of our expert artists in the community once told us, the key is to find at least 10 minutes every day to draw something. You have to practice---a lot!
One thing you absolutely need is a good command of whatever tools you are drawing with. If you prefer to draw with a pencil, you need to be able to know how to control its movements, its shading, blending, etc. The same goes for chalk, pen, brush, etc.
Furthermore, you need to remember these words: "Just because I don't understand it today, doesn't mean I won't understand it tomorrow." In other words, do not give up. Learning to draw well with any tool and at any level takes a lot of practice.
So how to succeed? Keep going. Learn constantly. Always be enrolled in a course or watching a new video and drawing new drawings. Practice continually. You must actually draw if you want to actually succeed at DRAWING! :D
Finally, make sure to you finish your final sketches, and share them on social media (breakdiving.io hint hint). Yes, saying you’re an artist is cool, but actually being one is a different story, and that requires that people see evidence of what you have created!
