Fluency Project - Language Event Host
Role Type: Member-Volunteer (See below for role type explanations)
Job Description: What's your native language? Or what language do you speak at least at an intermediate level? Whatever it is, we need your services! We would like you to be the leader of the group text chat, and also the video chat, for those studying that language.
Requirements: Must speak a language at a native or intermediate level (minimum), and with a clearly understandable accent. Must be outgoing, friendly, and able to lead/carry on a conversation in that language via both live text chat (in our chatroom) and live video chat (via Zoom). You will plan the event date, you will be sure you have the right technology set up, you will show up and lead the group through an hour of fun, exercises, and practice.

Be sure to know what the Break Diving community is, why you want to help us grow, and why you think you will fit in on our team. Be sure to refer to our corporate mission and to some of our current staff members by name to show us you actually did some research.
- Be prepared to also explain why you believe you can handle working in a fast-paced environment with a million moving parts. Be prepared to wxplain how you will manage your 'day job' and working here at Break Diving too without becoming overwhelmed.
- Volunteering at Break Diving is intense. It's not an hour or two here and there. It's a long-term "volunteer to employment" position, extremely entrepreneurial, with high expectations, and a lengthy application process. - Everyone on our team helps everywhere. It doesn't matter if you primarily want to help with marketing, coding, finance, or operations--you will be wearing multiple hats. If you don't code, and prefer marketing, we will still train you to code. If you code, you will also be helping with marketing and finance.
