1. When and Why Did You Decide to Pursue This Dive At This Level? What was your inspiration and motivation?

After middle school.  Why?  Law and mom!

2. How Long Did It Take For You To Accomplish This Dive At This Level From The Day You Decided To Pursue It, And Why Did It Take That Long?

At the time I joined Breakdiving, I already had up to a bachelor’s degree, but I have to certify one level at a time. It only took 4 years to graduate high school. Getting a basic education and high school diploma is highly encouraged by society and enforced by law and my mom, so that is why I went, and nothing prevented me from finishing within the standard time.

3. What Was The Hardest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

I remember I really learned perseverance in high school. I went to a college prep school so the work was difficult and I was thrown into it with no prior preparation, so I had to work my way up to passing grades. My classmates had gone to the school since elementary grades, so they had background I didn't. I was basically behind them when I started there and had to catch up and learn how to study, take notes, outline, research, and write in certain formats. I also played field hockey and I had never played before, so I was not very good at first. But in both of those areas, I improved immensely over time.

4. What Was The Easiest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

The easiest part is that there wasn't any external resistance - my mom made sure I was enrolled and got the bus to and from school. Society is set up for people to go to high school, so things flowed smoothly. And there was no internal resistance.

5. What Is Your Advice For Someone Who Is Pursuing This Dive And Level?

Learning is always valuable. Sometimes we might get a bad attitude about having to do school work, homework, study for tests, and deal with people at school. We might wonder when we are going to use any of the information, and a lot of other things might seem more fun. I definitely felt that way sometimes.  But learning how to study and learn new information, and keeping your mind sharp is beneficial for your entire life.  Schooling can teach you character, structure, and discipline beyond just knowledge.

6. What Are Some Of The Best Resources You Recommend to Those Pursuing This Dive At This Level, And Why Do You Recommend Them? Please Include Relevant Weblinks, If Applicable.

- Tutoring when needed (even via Youtube), helpful classmates and teachers. Any subject you have trouble with, you can learn. Ones I thought I couldn't learn, I did.
- Extracurriculars - they give you an outlet and connect you with others and the school in a fun way and if they're sports, they can help your physical and mental health so you can deal with any stresses of school.

7. Tell Us A Story Of One Of Your Adventures While Pursuing This Dive (At This Level).

Three big things happened: I made my two best friends in high school and several others, I visited various parts of Italy for 10 days with a big group of classmates, and I had my first spiritual experience in my sophomore year.

8. What Evidence Did You Submit to Prove You Met the Requirements for This Dive and Level?

I have a picture of my high school diploma (I was homeschooled for my senior year).

9. Will You Be Pursuing The Next Level For This Dive? If Yes, Why? If Not, Why Not?

I actually already have!  I want to keep deepening my knowledge and skills.  I actually have now decided to pursue this dive at an advanced level of having a bachelor’s degree, but I wanted to do the dive because I think I want to try to get a Master’s degree.

10. What is the Break Diver's Creed?

No excuses, no regrets, no rules.
