1. When and Why Did You Decide to Pursue This Dive At This Level? What was your inspiration and motivation?

I live poetry, I breathe poetry, I pamper my loved ones with it, and express my thoughts through it. This is why I am going for it.

My inspiration for poetry is quite diverse. There are many kinds of writers like songwriters, novelists, screenwriters, etc. For me, I visualize all forms of writing in poetry. My motivation here is simple. Writing poetry is a hobby of mine since junior high school.

Writing is an art. A gift from God. I don’t classify myself as a poet maybe one day.

2. How Long Did It Take For You To Accomplish This Dive At This Level From The Day You Decided To Pursue It, And Why Did It Take That Long?

It took me roughly eight months to almost a year to accomplish this dive at this level. I believe success is expensive and it often comes with a cost.

Time, energy, and focus are some of the reasons it took me this long. I wrote many poems at present though many of these poems I have written are regarded as practicals.

At times I find myself wondering what I am going to write. The subjects and or contents of my works always cost me a lot of time.

Sharing my written works also contribute to this long story because one needs to share such works through the right channels.

3. What Was The Hardest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

For me, the hardest part is sharing what I write. The criticism is the all-important part of what I am trying to achieve.

The contents of what I intend to write about is another trying part. Also, the resources I keep on exploring throughout are another highlight in my trials.

I write freely whenever it comes to mind but composing it is another story entirely. Lastly, I have to perform everything I write, and only with practice, I can overcome it.

4. What Was The Easiest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

The easiest part in achieving this particular dive level is my passion for it. I enjoy reading or writing my own stuff as well as that of others. Studying anything isn’t naturally easy but when it comes to poetry it’s all easy for me. I learn from others.

The support I got from my family and friends is quite amazing it makes things easier. Also, we are now living in an advanced world of technology, and therefore the resources, critics, and support are all over the world.

5. What Is Your Advice For Someone Who Is Pursuing This Dive And Level?

My advice for anyone pursuing this dive at this level is to keep it simple. Remember, our fingers are not equal. Practicing is quite necessary. Practice will eventually help you find your own style.

Be humble and appreciate any criticism — this is very important. Choose carefully where and how to share your works for thoughts and feedback.

Lastly, don’t let anyone suggest to you that you can’t do it.

6. What Are Some Of The Best Resources You Recommend to Those Pursuing This Dive At This Level, And Why Do You Recommend Them? Please Include Relevant Weblinks, If Applicable.

  1. AllPoetry – This is the largest poetry community you might found yourself in. I am recommending this site because for starters you are required to comment on at least two written works before publishing your own. Isn’t that a good idea?

  2. Deep Underground (DU Poetry) – It is not all easy here but it pays to be there. Competition entries, reading challenges and top critique trophies are some of the benefit packages

  3. Instagram Poetry – I am recommending this to anyone interested in visual poetry.

  4. Songwriter’s Pad – this isn’t an internet site but an application. Users improve their writing styles using this app

  5. Wattpad – a bit surprising, Wattpad and poetry? Yes, you heard me right it works. I wrote many poems on Wattpad before now for the purpose of saving them there.

7. Tell Us A Story Of One Of Your Adventures While Pursuing This Dive (At This Level).

During a Facebook group session for songwriters, I noticed a post from Nathaniel Isakson who said he’s a publisher and owns a publishing company. At the end of the session, we chatted in private and I remember sending him a very long poem I wrote.

That poem was like a trailer for a novel I was about to start working on at that point in time. To my utmost surprise, Nathaniel loved what I sent him and immediately forwarded it to his chief editor, Veronica who also showed appreciation of her own.

They introduced me to many people and ever since they have been very supportive of my achievements so far. One day Nathaniel mailed a welcome letter and publishing contract for me to go through and see if I am OK to sign on and the rest is history. At present we are currently working with the publishing company to publish my anthology.

8. What Evidence Did You Submit to Prove You Met the Requirements for This Dive and Level?

9. Will You Be Pursuing The Next Level For This Dive? If Yes, Why? If Not, Why Not?

Yes of course I will be pursuing the next level for this dive. Why? Because it’s a passion for me I keep on stressing. This is a hobby so I will definitely enjoy the ride throughout the journey.

I never wanted to stop learning and evolving so I have to keep up one level after another. It is a dream come true so why not pursue it. There’s a reason why this is categorized into different levels and I want to explore them all.
