1. When and Why Did You Decide to Pursue This Dive At This Level? What was your inspiration and motivation?

When I joined school at the age of 3 years, I was having English as a subject. Then I decided to pursue this dive since in English Class, the teacher rarely speaks our native language. My motivation was that my parents do not know how to speak English and English is the official language in India and the most spoken language around the world. My parents can write and read but cannot speak in English, therefore I wanted myself to be a fluent speaker in English.

2. How Long Did It Take For You To Accomplish This Dive At This Level From The Day You Decided To Pursue It, And Why Did It Take That Long?

At the age of 10, I could understand, read, and write English as it is the world’s most widely-used language in international business and telecommunications, newspaper and book publishing, scientific publishing, mass entertainment, and diplomacy. So I wanted to improve myself and at that time I hesitated to speak English. Therefore, I want to overcome my fears and improve.

It takes me so long to achieve Level 1 because at home and school, the most used language was Hindi (the language of India) and there was only one period of English in school.

3. What Was The Hardest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

Whenever I try to speak English in front of an audience or in front of the class and teachers, I started stuttering and my classmates made fun of me. I got demotivated but I never stopped myself from practicing English. I used to speak in front of the mirror to improve myself and watch English shows which really helped me to improve my English day by day. Also, I did not like grammar rules so I took a lot of time to understand them.

4. What Was The Easiest Part About Achieving This Particular Dive Level?

Writing English was the easiest part for me. I used to write my diary entries in English. Later, I then started writing dramas in English for group competitions. I love to read English chapters again and again and try to learn them by heart which really helped me in improving my English. Then in 11th class, I participated in a debate competition and got the first position which motivated me to do more hard work in improving my English.
